About Our Founder
Eye Shield Technology was founded by Dr. Joel H. Goffman, a respected ophthalmologist, inventor, and pioneer in laser vision correction. With decades of clinical experience and a commitment to advancing ophthalmic care, Dr. Goffman has dedicated his career to improving outcomes for both patients and eye care professionals.
As the holder of two patents and the inventor of several devices used in laser vision correction procedures around the world, Dr. Goffman has helped shape modern ophthalmic technology. His expertise extends beyond innovation and product development he was among the early adopters of Excimer Laser technology, traveling to Canada in 1992 to study the technology before its approval in the United States and later participating in a two-year FDA study evaluating Excimer Laser procedures for PRK and LASIK.
Drawing on firsthand clinical experience, Dr. Goffman founded Eye Shield Technology with a focus on providing high-quality ophthalmic products that meet the practical needs of surgeons, healthcare providers, and patients.
